When there are many boxes of goods, truck delivery can sometimes be more efficient and cost-effective than local express services. For remote areas where local express services cannot deliver, and when the shipment volume is large, intercontinental truck transportation can be used, though additional distance fees will apply.

What is LCL shipment?

A container is a reusable transport unit designed for sea, land, or air freight. Containers come in standard sizes (such as 20ft, 40ft, 40ft high cube) and are commonly used in international shipping. The two main methods for containerized cargo transportation are FCL (Full Container Load) and LCL (Less than Container Load).

1. Full Container Load (FCL) :

2. Less than Container Load (LCL) :

In this approach, the goods from multiple customers, all heading to the same destination country, are consolidated into one container for transportation. Each customer only pays for the space and weight their goods occupy, rather than the cost of the entire container. This makes the shipping process more cost-effective for smaller shipments.
